I changed my Neptun password, but I cannot log in to my University’s email account with the new password. Why?
Although the UNIVET identifier is the same as the Neptun identifier for students, the password is managed separately in these two systems: the Neptun system manages your Neptun account’s password itself.
So your Neptun ID is just apparently your UNIVET ID, but it’s not really that. The password for the UNIVET identifier does not change by changing your password in the Neptun, so you can still use the systems that use central identification with your previous password (e-mail, LibraryVPN, etc.).
I changed my password for the UNIVET ID, but this new password won’t allow me to log in to Neptun. Why?
A student’s UNIVET identifier is the same as the Neptun identifier for a student, but the password is managed separately in these two systems: the Neptun system manages your Neptun account’s password itself. So your identifier is just apparently the UNIVET ID, it’s not really. So if you change your UNIVET’s account password that does not have any effect on your Neptun account’s password.
In Neptun, the previous password remains valid and you can use it to access the Neptun service.
What should I do if I fail to log in to the services of the UNIVET with my UNIVET ID and password?
Contact the IT department via glpi@univet.hu.
Don’t forget to describe in the letter the system you want to access and the username you tried to log in with.
NEVER send your password in an error ticket, the IT Department does not need your password!
What is the UNIVET ID?
The UNIVET identifier is the user identifier (username) used for central user identification in our IT systems. With this ID, we can access different systems with a uniform username and password.
For students, the UNIVET identifier is the same as the Neptun identifier (Neptune code).
